APPROACHPhase 3 - ArchitectBased on the Conceptualize phase, the ARCHITECT phase creates a design blueprint for the selected solution. This solution is refined to optimal levels. The ARCHITECT phase creates a detailed itemization and sequencing for all technical, business-specific and project activities through to solution deployment. Final system development, configuration, interface and integration specifications are detailed. New and revised business processes and interaction are defined. A launch plan is prepared detailing tasks, sequences and schedules. In addition to detailing of the solutions technical specifications, this phase often fills out technical aspects through use of engineering techniques such as process flow diagramming, modeling and rapid prototyping. Rapid prototype elaboration and refinement is used, when appropriate, to illustrate and resolve key business and/or technical issues. This project phase is supported through detailed design collaboration and review work sessions. Behind the scenes during the ARCHITECT phase, Ajillus staff are configuring the necessary support structure and relationship-building to speed the refined business solutions time-to-market. This phase typically takes between two and four weeks. The ARCHITECT phase completes with a comprehensive launch plan containing detailed technical solution specifications along project tasks, sequences and schedules.
