Phase 1 -  Discover

Ajillus’ projects commence with the DISCOVER phase. This vital phase serves dual purposes.

Ajillus uses this step to acquire necessary customer business and technical ‘foundation’ data for constructing solution alternatives. Field data for the existing technology infrastructure, critical business systems, and relevant supply and fulfillment business processes are collected.

The DISCOVER phase also serves to meet with client executives to listen to and understand the existing and future critical business issues and opportunities that must be resolved, mastered or capitalized on as project outcomes. In a collaborative approach, Ajillus principals, client executives and client project staff explore the types of technology-powered supply chain solutions that, when deployed in the digital marketspace, could leverage sustained market share, revenue and profitability growth.

This project phase is facilitated through a blend of interviews, questionnaires and workshops. Throughout this process, Ajillus staff provides an informed, market-based point of reference. We balance identified ‘what ifs’ against what is technologically possible and achievable in light of the customer’s intentions and capabilities. This phase typically takes two to three weeks for completion.

The DISCOVER phase completes with the identification and documenting of design criteria including business objectives, current operational and business contraints, systems requirements, and existing, relevant business operations methods. Output of this phase will serve as the baseline for development of design concepts in the next phase.
