MERIDIAN TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS ADOPTS NEW NAME:
AJILLUS, INC.

SEATTLE, WA   JULY 21, 1998 -- Meridian Technology Partners, Inc., a Seattle-based supply chain and digital commerce software consulting, implementation and integration services firm, is pleased to announce its name change to Ajillus , Inc.

The new name was approved by the board of directors on July 1, 1998 and is effective July 14, 1998. The new name was chosen to more accurately and distinctively reflect the company’s business focus of rapidly deploying flexible, agile supply chain and digital commerce solutions for customers.

According to Michael Murphy, Principal, "Our market research indicated that our current name [Ajillus] was similar to several other organizations in geographic markets in which we currently provide our consulting solution services. We had concern the name similarities would lead to confusion in our marketspace. By transitioning now, it eliminates this potential difficulty down the road."

The corporate name change also reflects Ajillus’s expanded commitment to rapid implementations of flexible supply chain solutions that are architected around digital commerce. Towards this objective, Ajillus has been completing a variety of partnerships with technology, service and platform providers. These relationships further Ajillus’s capabilities in designing and deploying agile and reliable supply chain and demand response fulfillment solutions by melding best-of-breed packaged software offerings with strategic internet services.
