Phase 4 -  Capitalize

The CAPITALIZE phase serves the purposes of solution construction, launch and benefit realization. The technical solution is configured and constructed as documented in the Architect phase’s system specifications. The CAPITALIZE phase also executes the launch plan.

Based on the earlier phase’s efforts, the Ajillus-customer project team and the selected service and technology partners construct the solution. Using an iterative approach, project resources work deployment, testing, and integration tasks as solution construction and configuration progresses.

Project engineering activities are augmented with effective project management utilizing frequent milestones and deliverables that serve as solution ‘touch-points’. These ensure necessary communications are designed into the CAPITALIZE phase so that when the inevitable project obstacle arises, it is quickly spotted, eliminated or surmounted.

At time of solution launch, testing has been completed, rechecked and guaranteed by the Ajillus project team to validate market readiness. The launch process is supported by working the launch plan’s tasks. The technology is physically put into operation. Users and support personnel are trained. Suppliers and customers affected by the solution are educated. Business process changes are tested and then activated. This project phase is supported primarily through frequent project milestone reviews and project team-based exercising and validation of solution work products.

The final deliverable in this phase is the Owner’s Plan. Delivered shortly after solution launch, it contains a sequenced plan detailing regular, iterative cycles of solution functionality refinement and advances. Driven by priorities identified throughout the project, it ensures the customer’s investment continues to evolve as the digital marketspace develops.

The CAPITALIZE phase completes with the solution’s successful launch and smooth operational support transition from the project team to the selected support resources.
